This is the last in a series of three blog posts, at least for the moment, about Onipa'a Sustainability Center in Haiku.
DH and I were excited to talk with Jerry, who was happy to share his tech creations on video. Onipa'a uses solar energy for a lot of things, like powering their tools and lighting up the kitchen. Jerry rigged a simple solar charging system with a solar charger controller, parts that he got off of Amazon.
Sidenote: Onipa'a is happy to take contributions of tools, power tools, parts, etc. Both Home and Jerry are pretty handy. Onipa'a is a 501c3 according to Home, so donations would be tax-deductible. Please contact Home directly.
