The Art of Trash opens tomorrow night, at the Maui Mall at 6 pm, with festivities at the center stage.
Last year, there was a trash fashion show, featuring local schoolchildren and trash fashionistas, live music, and an awards ceremony. What I really enjoy about
the Art of Trash is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Working with materials that would otherwise go into the landfill is very freeing. There's no way to mess up the materials since they are started out as trash.
Feel free to come dressed up in trashy apparel.
